3 Lessons I Learned From Losing My Luggage

Hello my beautiful people!!!!!!

I’m back in Sydney after our beautiful holiday in Spain.
To be 100% transparent, as you know I like being… We came back a month ago, but this is how long it takes for my system to fully recover!!!!

Even though we split our flight back from Spain in two, stopping 3 days in Dubai, it still takes a toll on my body.

Talking about our Dubai stopover… One of my travel fears manifested… (I’m working on clearing that…!) and our airline lost 3 out of 4 pieces of luggage, whaaaaaaat!?

Thank goodness, the one suitcase that made it was the kids’ one, so that made things easier.

We only recovered our luggage the last day of our stay, so, it meant for Tomas (hubby) and I spending 2+days in a nice resort in the middle of Dubai with our travelling clothes, a bag with dirty clothes from Spain AND a miraculous bag I fit last minute into the kids’ suitcase…

The last day I was in Mallorca I ran quickly to Oysho and bought a couple of “necessary pieces” including these pyjamas:

And just like that, I learned my first lesson:
- Always buy beautiful pyjamas!!!!
Cause, can you see it coming…?
Yep, that’s exactly what I wore for almost 3 days.
I just mixed it up with my travelling clothes…

Don’t believe me?
Check this out:

This is how I went to a fancy restaurant for dinner

And this how I walked around the resort for 2 days :D

What’s the moral of this part the story?
It’s not what you wear but HOW you wear it :D

Which brings me to lesson number 2:

We’re so not our clothes!!!
Ok, this is not a lesson I’ve learned on this trip… I always tell you this.
BUT this time I felt as if I was living it at the next level.
I manifested in my kid’s luggage the exact amount of clothes that I needed for those days.
Keep in mind we were in a very nice resort where there were clothing rules.

Moral of this story?

Just BE and the rest will unfold by itself ☺

Now, lesson number 3, ready?:

Travelling with a minimum amount of clothing makes me feel FREE and also activates my creativity!!!

I’d have never created an outfit like THIS if I hadn’t been “pushed to it”.

SO, tell me what’s something you can do this week to push your creativity in your wardrobe? What’s a “lost luggage” trigger you can create to take action?

Can you start getting rid of stuff and start creating combinations that inspire you and take you to the next level?

Let me tell you, it feels SO freeing and exciting!

SO, looking back, this experience was an incredibly positive one, even though it may not have felt like that at moments, especially when we found out.

But, want to know what the ultimate bonus reminder I got out of all this?

In the end everything will be alright!
Do not fear anything, as it will all unfold the way it’s supposed to.

Last but not least, some tips:
ALWAYS carry an underwear change in your suitcase and a lipstick,
hehehe!!!! ;P

Sending you much love and style power,

XX
